Richard J. Donovan, Jr.

Richard J. Donovan Jr. (Butch) 67, of Framingham, Natick, MA, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2021.

Richard was predeceased by his father Richard J. Donovan. He is survived by his husband Stephen Donovan, Mother, Elenore Prentice Donovan, three sisters, Cheryl Hayes, Erin Bailey and husband Phillip, Karen Roche, nieces and nephews and many longtime friends, who he considered extended family.

Richard was born in Cambridge, MA and a graduate of Natick high, class of 1971. He worked during and after high school at Talvy florist of Natick. Richard joined the Natick police force in 1977 and retired in 2001.

Richard was a loyal and active member of the Natick Lodge of Elks and held several positions including, but not limited to, Exalted Ruler, Assistant to Lodge Managers and most recently Lodge Secretary.

A Memorial Service will be on October 3, 2021, at 2pm at the Natick Lodge of Elks followed by a Celebration of Life and room dedication in his honor.
