Robert A. “Bob” O’Connell of Brighton passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on October 1, 2024. Beloved husband of Marjorie “Marny” (MacLennan) O’Connell. Devoted father of David O'Connell and his late wife Maria of Brighton, Jennifer Birch and her husband Ross Jr. of West Roxbury, Erin Sullivan and her husband Scott of San Diego, Sheila Quinn and her husband Carlton Quinn of Brighton. Loving papa to Ross Birch, III, Katherine Birch, James Birch, Michael Birch, Ayden Sullivan, Scott Sullivan, Jr., Emma Quinn, Connell Quinn, and Cecilia Quinn. Brother of Harold, Roberta, Catherine, Dennis, James and Stephen and the late John, Daniel, Arthur and Gerald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave (nr Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON on Saturday October 5th at 9:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market St Brighton at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting Hours on Friday October 4th from 4-7pm in the funeral home. Army National Guard. Former parishioner at Our Lady of the Presentation Church and daily communicant at St. Columbkille Church.
