Sandra Padellaro Obituary

of Boston passed away on April 29, 2022 after an emergency surgery to treat an acute illness. Beloved mother of Frank Vincent Padellaro, Jr. and his wife Brandi Ediss of Easthampton, MA, and Helena Marie Padellaro and her husband Michael Moran of Brighton, MA, she is predeceased by brothers Scott and Kevin Belmont, sister, Marjorie McNeil, and mother Helen Belmont, and survived by her dear brothers Richard, Timothy and Michael Belmont. Sandi was a loving and dedicated grandmother to Eleanor and Adelaide Moran and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Sandi (Candy to those who knew her in childhood) graduated from Haverhill High School and was proud to be the first in her family to attend college.  She received an associate’s degree at Northern Essex Community College, then continued on at Merrimack College for her bachelor’s degree and eventually received her MBA from Suffolk University.  She worked for many years in finance at several of the large early technology companies.  Sandi was a proud and dedicated friend of Bill W’s for over three decades.  She was a friend and mentor to anyone that needed her help, providing a safe environment for many people in their early days of recovery, particularly young women.  She worked tirelessly to preserve the affordability of her apartment building on behalf of the tenant association and was an active volunteer in many local political campaigns and North End neighborhood associations.  Although she was not born in the North End, she truly felt at home there.  She was always kind and welcoming to everyone, regardless of whether or not she knew them. There was not a more determined and dogged advocate to have by your side than Sandi.  Though she had many professional and personal accomplishments, she was most proud of her son, daughter, and granddaughters, whom she loved purely and unconditionally, and eagerly celebrated even their smallest of accomplishments.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the Lehman, Reen, & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave., (nr. Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON, Thursday, May 5th from 4:00 to 7:00pm with a brief speaking program at 7:00pm.  The interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sandi may be made to the American Lung Association.
