Sandra "Sandy" Jean (Whited) McAllister

of Arlington, passed away on June 6, 2021.  Beloved wife of John F. McAllister of Arlington.  Devoted mother of Jennifer McAllister of Malden, John F. McAllister, Jr. and his wife Maureen of Hopedale, and Mitchell McAllister and his wife Jennifer of Stoneham.  Dear sister of Gail Columbare and Chester Whited, Jr.  Loving grandmother of Marijane, Brendan, Delia, and Brooklyn McAllister.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sandra (Sandy) was raised in Dorchester, MA, St. Peter’s Parish. The oldest child of Chester and Wanda Whited.  Sandy married the love of her life John (Jack)McAllister the fall of 1967. Nothing made her happier than having her large extended family and friends at her home in Arlington or on her deck at the Cape.  Where she would cook for you and make you feel special. Her true gift was taking care of those she loved and those that needed to be loved.

Always ready with a joke, a filled squirt gun or words of love and encouragement.  She cherished her family, extended family consisting of loving sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends, and her cherished four-legged grand dogs Rusty, Lola and Hazel.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
