It is a deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Shui Sang Chan passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on November 27,2025. (He reported 2 years younger than his stated age when he immigrated to America).
Born in Toisan, China, Shui Sang was the fourth of eight siblings. After completing his high school education, he taught in China. Then he moved to Hong Kong, where he met his wife Yu Wing Yee and raised their three children.
Shui Sang was a teacher in China, an accountant in Hong Kong and an appetizer chef in Boston
He loved to watch all different kinds of sport on TV, and he used to do over 1 hour of exercise even into his 90s.
It was in March 2024 under the guidance of his son James, he was baptized as a Christian.
Shui Sang Chan is survived by his three children, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter and extended family. He is remembered for his love for his family and sports.
我們懷着沉痛嘅心情,告知大家,我們摯愛的父親、祖父、曾祖父及親友——陳瑞生先生,已於 2025 年 11 月 27 日 安詳辭世,享年一 百 歲。(陳先生於移居美國時,曾將自己的年齡報小兩歲。)
陳瑞生先生生於中國台山,是八兄弟姊妹中排行第四。中學畢業後,他於國內擔任教師,其後移居香港,結識妻子余頴儀女士,並共同養育三名子女。
一生之中,陳先生先後擔任中國教師、香港會計師,及波士頓餐館的廚師。陳先生熱愛體育,喜歡在電視上欣賞各種運動賽事。並於九十高齡,仍堅持每日超過一小時的運動。
在 2024 年 3 月,陳先生在兒子,James的指引下接受洗禮,成為基督徒,信仰成為他生命旅程的重要祝福。
陳瑞生先生遺下三名子女、八名孫子孫女、一名曾孫女及眾親屬。他一生勤勞,愛護家庭,熱愛運動,其精神與典範將永存於家人與親友心中。
