Steven “Steve” Thompson passed away Tuesday May 25, 2021 after battling pancreatic cancer for almost three years at the age of 69. Steve was born November 16, 1951 in Waltham to Ernest and Florence (Toombs) Thompson. He resided in Framingham for the past 21 years with his beloved wife Cheryl (Pratt) Thompson.
Steve grew up in Waltham. As a member of Teamsters Local Union No. 25, he worked as a truck driver for many companies throughout the years and retired from Aggregate Industries. A range officer at the Maynard Rod & Gun Club and a member of the “S.O.D.” motorcycle club, he enjoyed many benefit rides and parties. You could always find him riding his 1946 Ford pickup truck and 1974 Ford Thunderbird, attending many car shows with his big brother Bill. Steve enjoyed spending time with his “babe” Cheryl, his brothers, sisters, and many friends. A true life of the party, Steve was always cracking jokes, and enjoying an iced cold Miller High Life.
Steve is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Cheryl. He also leaves behind his sisters Beverly Peirce, Gail Landino and husband Dick, Sherry Raboin and husband Joe all of Billerica, Jackie Izzi and husband Eddie of Vermont, and brother Bill Thompson and wife Cathy of Sudbury, brother in law Ed Lavelle of Westford, and sister in law Kathy Thompson of Townsend. He is beloved by many nieces, nephews, and two cats Lippy & Lippy. He is predeceased by his brother Butchie Thompson, sister Patty Lavelle, and brother Frank Thompson.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date.
