Virginia M. “Ginny” (Cosgrove) McCauley in Lexington, formerly of Brighton passed away on July 26, 2026. Beloved wife of 49 years to the late Thomas J. McCauley, Jr. Devoted mother of Kristen Kallenberg and her husband Carl of Billerica, Kerin Sarazen and her husband Mark of Melrose, Katy Dearborn and her husband Brendan of Norwood, Ginny Knapp and her husband Jeff of Niantic, CT. Loving grandmother of Caroline and Michael Kallenberg, Katy and Jack Sarazen, Thomas and Brian Dearborn, Jessica and Kaylee Knapp. Sister of the late Thomas Cosgrove and his surviving wife Barbara, the late Charlie Cosgrove and his surviving wife MaryAnne. Sister-in-law of Dorothy Reen and her husband John, Charles McCauley and his wife Barbara, Noreen Nowd and her husband Peter, Francis McCauley and his husband Nick Triello, Daniel McCauley and his wife Bernadette, Joseph McCauley and his wife Tara and the late Mary Kervin and John “Jackie” McCauley. Loving daughter of the late Charles and Helen Cosgrove and daughter-in-law of the late Thomas J and Mildred A. (McCarthy) McCauley. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ginny loved spending time with her family, who were the center of her world. Her warm heart, kindness, and infectious laugh will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral from the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave (nr Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON on Saturday August 1 st at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market St. Brighton at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting Hours on Friday July 31 st from 4-7pm in the funeral home. Ginny was a graduate of St. Columbkille High School Class of 1962.
