Virginia Frances (Slater) Patrick

November 27, 1944 – September 26, 2021

Of Watertown (formerly of Allston) passed away on Sunday September 26th at age 76.

Raised by her beloved grandmother, Frances Slater.  Daughter of Wallace Slater and Madeline Lowery Doherty.  Mother of Cheryl Van Allen, Leah Wentzell, Shawn Patrick and Julie Patro.  Proud grandmother of Lisa Wentzell, Alex and Steven Patro, Trevor Van Allen and Brian Patrick.  Great grandmother of Logan Lambert.

Virginia, or Ginny to those who knew her, loved music, reading, her children, her cats and the church.  She will be remembered as a force of nature who stood strong in the face of adversity, who would give her last dime to a person in need and always had an extra chair at her table.  She believed fiercely in helping others, that there was always someone in greater need than she was. 

Visiting in the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Avenue, Brighton on Friday October 1st from 11:30am to 1pm. Followed by a Funeral Service at 1pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ginny’s memory to the church she loved so much.
