Wilfred A. Tapley Jr. (Bill), 86, of Brighton passed away peacefully Friday, January 8th, 2021
with his family at his side.
Bill was a beloved husband to Barbara Tapley (Cassano) for 61 years and together they raised 6
children. Bill was a proud Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He worked for 43 years.
at Daniels Printing as a pressman and later a foreman. In retirement, Barbara and Bill owned and
operated Wingz Xpress in Brighton.
Bill was a beloved “Grumpy” to 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed.
sharing stories of his children’s ‘wilder’ days with his grandchildren and always had advice to
give about training the family dogs, a passion of his.
Bill was predeceased by his daughter Donna Tapley and his wife Barbara. He is survived by his
children, Theresa Tapley and partner John Cox, Karan Hanzl and her husband Matt, Barbara
Spinney and her husband Charley, Bill Tapley and his wife Lisa, John Tapley, and Tad Slavan.
Bill’s family fondly remembers his strong spirit, work ethic, and sense of humor. He was always
ready to listen to stories or share advice as long as you first brought him a cup of hot coffee, a
sweet treat, or perhaps a shot of Crown Royal. He will be deeply missed.
A wake will be held at Lehman, Reen & McNamara Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 13th
from 4-8pm and a service on Thursday, January 14th at 11am.

Veterans Charity at www.DAV.org.
