Age 70 of Framingham, formerly of Brighton, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband James Balboni, and her daughter Lynn Harrington (Concaugh) of Quincy. Beloved mother of Philip Concaugh of Framingham, and Michael Concaugh and his wife Frannie Beth of Tampa. She was the devoted grandmother of Bobby and Michael Harrington of Quincy, Sean Harrington and his wife Jillian of New Mexico, and Madison Concaugh of Tampa, and great grandmother of Addison Harrington of New Mexico. Sister of John Paradise and his wife Sheila of Sudbury, and aunt to their son Michael.

She was born in Boston in August of 1946, the daughter of the late John Paradise and Elizabeth Rufo (Dunn). Each having been previously married, she married the late James Balboni in 1983. He was the father of four. A retired health care worker, she worked at St. Elizabeth’s hospital in Brighton for 40 years – the same hospital her mother retired from. She had a remarkable sense of humor, was an animal lover, and an avid reader. Following her retirement, she became a regular at her local public library.

In keeping with her stated wishes, there will be no traditional funeral services. A private interment will follow. A meaningful way for you to honor her memory would be to volunteer your time, or make a donation to a local pet shelter, or your public library branch.
